My past and future enhance my experience of the world, but it
is only in the present moment that I cocreate my life. And, in this present moment, I find God.
Behind me are "the things I cannot change," which
a familiar prayer reminds me to accept. I accept them, and I learn from them. Ahead of me lie infinite possibilities and ideas
waiting to be accessed through prayer, affirmation and action.
But in this present moment, I experience the fullness of God. I affirm only
good, knowing that all good things are available to me. I thank God for this moment and for the wholeness and peace here and
now.
"A
pleasant vineyard, sing about it! I, the Lord, am its keeper; every moment I water it."--Isaiah 27:2-3
When facing an unexpected challenge, it's easy to feel like a victim of circumstance--as
though I am moving from the driver's seat of my life to the passenger's seat. Instead, I make a conscious choice to get back
behind the wheel. I assert my own power in a positive, spiritually centered way.
Through prayer and meditation, I regain control of my life.
My emotional strength is renewed, and I feel confident again. I release old habits or relationships that have encumbered me
in the past.
The Spirit of God fills my mind, body and soul with the courage I need to move forward. My mind is crystal clear, and
I am free to make healthy choices.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."--2 Corinthians 3:17
Today I vow to stay in touch with God and all of God's blessings in my life. I am in
touch with family, and I thank God for the valuable contribution each member makes to the whole family.
I am in touch with friends. I bless
each of my friends daily and provide companionship, love and prayers for them. I am in touch with the needs of others. I give
of myself with my time, energy or resources to aid and support those who need a helping hand.
I am in touch with beauty. I gaze with
admiration at a sunrise, count the stars in the sky and give thanks for God's ever-present grandeur. I am in touch with God
and all of God's blessings.
"May the Lord
make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you."--1 Thessalonians
3:12
God guides me through seasons of change in my life.
As autumn begins and temperatures cool,
the most noticeable change is a colorful display of leaves. But there is also a shift within me--a sense of fresh energy and
excitement.
Visible changes remind me that all is evolving. Seeing God's transformational handiwork in nature triggers in me a deepening
awareness of my potential for positive change. I find opportunities to grow closer to God and deeper in spiritual understanding.
Whether
the changes I face are minor or monumental, I have the spiritual tools I need to meet them with confidence and faith. With
trust in God, I am guided through the changes life brings.
"But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, 'You are my God.'"--Psalm 31:14
The words of a familiar song play in
my mind as I dedicate myself to being a presence for peace: "Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me."
Love
is the foundation for peace. I pause to feel love for myself and for my family, my friends and my community. I further extend
love to all people in every culture and country. Peace begins in me and encircles the world. Together we learn to respect
one another's differences and know that we are all children of God.
Let us join together in a pilgrimage of peace--one step, one
prayer, one act of forgiveness, one outstretched hand at a time. Let us consciously unite in divine love and walk a path of
peace.
"Jesus said to them again, 'Peace be with
you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.'"--John 20:21
Any activity or task can be sacred. Rather than acting absentmindedly, I stay present to the task
at hand, and I do it with love.
Whether I'm completing a routine chore or spending time with someone dear, I infuse my words and actions
with love. Routine activities are thereby transformed into sacred and meaningful expressions of God.
I focus my attention on one activity
at a time, letting God's love move through me as I complete the task. I am thoughtful, centered and at peace.
I approach all activities today from
a place of love, feeling and expressing the peace of God.
"He said to them, 'Pay attention to what you hear; the measure you give will be the measure you get, and
still more will be given you.'"--Mark 4:24
Looking beyond the temporary satisfaction of material gifts, I recognize that
the greatest gifts in life are not diamonds or gold, but pearls of wisdom, strength of Spirit and divine love. I open myself
to a greater awareness of these true riches.
In the flow of God's limitless supply, I gratefully receive and share these blessings
with others. As I do, they multiply and return to me. I am joy-filled in living a God-centered life and sharing spiritual
gifts.
I
rejoice as I experience God's love, grow in divine wisdom and express my inner strength. I am richly blessed by the gifts
that matter most.
"Now there are varieties of gifts
... but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone."--1 Corinthians 12:4, 6
When I feel challenged by a situation, I look upon it as an opportunity
to move beyond old ways of thinking. I dare to try something new.
Before I move ahead, I prepare myself in prayer. Prayer is the foundation
for right action. Rather than taking hasty action, I pray my way to a divine solution.
In the stillness, I share my concerns with God. Then I release
them. I spend some time here in the silence where I am open to receive guidance and direction on the next steps to take. Now
I am ready to move forward with clarity, confidence and courage.
With God's help, I welcome the opportunity to experience life in a new way.
"See, the former things have come to pass, and new things
I now declare."--Isaiah 42:9
Divine love is my comfort in an ever-changing
world.
Every
day I am reminded that things of the world are temporary, but things of the Spirit are eternal. The Earth has changed over
the eons, but God is unchanging. God is Life, the essence of life in all. God is Love, encompassing all the love that has
ever been.
Turning
within I find the constant, eternal love of God is my constant comfort. No matter what happens in the external world, within
my heart is a place of peace, untouched. I close my eyes, take a deep cleansing breath and become aware of this quiet place.
No matter where I am or what is happening around me, I am comforted by the One Love that is always here.
"Let your steadfast
love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant."--Psalm 119:76
A summer bouquet may include an assortment
of flowers in a rainbow of colors. The variety makes the whole bouquet even more beautiful.
I realize I am one flower in the wondrous bouquet of humanity.
Without judging or comparing myself to others, I enjoy the unique beauty in all of us. I am a divine expression of God and
so is everyone else. As I value our commonalities and our differences, I experience harmony.
I relax into knowing that I am loved and that I have a unique
contribution to make. As I learn to love myself, I am at peace--with myself and others. Living in peace, I am in harmony with
God's beautiful world.
"The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come."--Song of Solomon 2:12

I take time to replenish my mind, body and spirit.
Like plants that need sunshine and nutrients to flourish, I,
too, need to replenish my mind, body and spirit. If my energy seems to fade or a healing challenge arises, I welcome the opportunity
for physical and spiritual renewal.
In quiet time, I acknowledge God as the source of healing life. As I relax, my connection with the spirit of God within
grows stronger. I visualize my cells and tissues expressing new energy and my entire being revitalized.
I come away from this time of reflection
refreshed, giving thanks for the renewal of my mind, body and spirit.
"In all your ways acknowledge him ...
It will be a healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body."--Proverbs 3:6, 8
As a spiritual being, I am not defined
by my work, but my work is an important aspect of my life's expression. Every service I provide is a service to God and to
others. I live in integrity by fulfilling my commitments. God blesses me with all I need to complete my work and to be prosperous
and fulfilled.
I
am grateful for my employers and co-workers, for my customers and clients, and for anyone with whom I interact. Each is an
expression of God in my life.
By giving and receiving joyfully in the workplace, I become a powerful expression of God in service to the world.
"Render service
with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not to men and women, knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again
from the Lord."--Ephesians 6:7-8
I accept the abundance of God flowing to me
and through me now.
The biblical land flowing with milk and honey represents spiritual abundance and freedom. It portrays a life overflowing
with blessings, a life full of divine potential.
The truth is that I am living in a "land flowing with milk and honey" right here and right
now. There is a constant flow of good in my life. My prosperity includes the assurance that wholeness, wisdom and strength
are mine. Knowing this, I am bold in spirit. I am aware of my own divine potential for living the life of my dreams.
I accept the abundance of God that is
always flowing to me and through me. I give and receive joyously and gratefully.
"He brought us into this place and gave us this land, a land
flowing with milk and honey."--Deuteronomy 26:9
